Here in Frinton Gospel Chapel we are developing a Network church
strategy. Basically the primary question that has been shaping us
is:
"What does church look like in......? That village? That school?
That old peoples home? That age group? That social club? .....and
trying to create church there!
The plan being, not to grow a mega church, & not to create
clones, but to sow the DNA of "all that we hold dear"
into that community & letting it be shaped by the uniqueness
of that community. We are not copying someone else's blueprint or
"grow church quick" system. We are not fishing in anyone's
pond & we are not using the same methods or styles being effectively
used by others but we are constantly looking to create church in
a variety of locations & a variety of ways. There are precious
few "onesize fits all" methods that will be effective
these days anyway.
So we step out into the new territory equipped with a passion to
see different types of people coming to faith. The benefit of
network church is that we can share the best resources
such as our evangelistic heart, our eldership, our leadership team......
eventually as new network churches develop, we will be able to share
something from that community too & the whole network will benefit.
Exciting times!
